How We Got There

Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity-Spokane event that aims to recruit volunteers, fundraise to fulfill more homeownership opportunities for women, and promote strength, financial well-being, and camaraderie while dismantling myths and barriers to accessing homeownership. Their Women Build capstone event is a highlight each year and this one needed to be fully captured visually. For our Media Director, Amanda, it was especially full-circle moment getting to reconnect with the organization years after her very first professional film experience as a student, with the Costa Rica Habitat for Humanity chapter. Our collective goal was to craft a story that recognized and uplifted the hard work and intentionality of the women in the program, educated the community about the program itself, and inspired generosity among donors and volunteers to support the program. With that vision in mind, we created a brand film with a relational message that uplifts the mission to empower women in our own city by directly combatting gender inequity in housing, and transform lives through safe, decent homes.
